FDS are pleased to be on site at Dolphin School in Bristol carrying out the Installation of the New Sprinkler System to the whole school.

FDS have been appointed directly by the Main contractor BAM to carry out these works. This is the 3rd project FDS have worked on with BAM in the last 18months (other being Exeter Uni and South Wiltshire UTC) The new system comprises of new water supplier (30m3sprinkler tank single electoral fire pump ) approx. 350 sprinkler heads. The project is the first to be designed with FDS new 3d sprinkler design software. Having been on site for 2 weeks now and with no clashes it seems to be working well

The Dolphin School new building replaces the existing school which only accommodated 90 pupils in part of the adjacent Colston’s Girls’ School in Cheltenham Road.

The £6 million scheme for the new school includes play areas and spaces for outdoor learning on the roof of the school, as well as a central courtyard playground.

Children will enjoy a woodland walk and share the grass pitches and multi-use games area at the secondary school site.
