27/04/2009 - 100% Pass Rate in IOSH Exams
Ten members of management staff at Fire Defence have passed the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) safety course. The five day workshop covers everything from risk assessments to stress and to an extremely high standard.
The Fire Defence employees had the highest pass rate previously recorded by the training company, RE Consultancy who’s company director said: ‘for all 10 people to pass the eight page project and 100 question exam papers first time is incredible’
'Red' Newsletter
Fire Defence produces a quarterly Newsletter called Red, which is aimed at keeping you informed of new products, techniques, legislation, advice, guidelines, case studies and what’s going on within the fire protection industry generally.
Common Myths:
The water from sprinklers causes more damage than the fire. A quick release sprinkler uses as little as 8 gallons of water a minute - an industrial fire is usually controlled with just four sprinklers. In contrast, a Fire Brigade hose will use between 50 and 125 gallons of water a minute.
