FDS are pleased to announce the successful award of the Fire Sprinkler package for Caerphilly’s Plasyfelin Primary School replacement project.
This flagship £23 million development will provide capacity for up to 420 pupils and will include enhanced nursery provision, integrated childcare facilities and additional sporting amenities available for both the school and the wider community.
The new school, currently being delivered by BAM Construction Ltd, will also incorporate a range of green features and is set to become the council’s first net zero school, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainability and future focused education.
This project continues the strong working relationship between FDS and BAM, building on successful collaboration across projects valued in excess of £6 million over the past four years.
FDS works package to include:
- Fire Sprinkler system designed to OHGI category
- Approx 1000 sprinkler heads to the false ceiling and slabs where require
- 50m3 sprinkler tank
- Signel Electrically driven Fire Pump
- GRP fire pump house
- 45m3 hydrant tank
