FDS are pleased to announce that they have secured the replacement underground car park works at John Wesley Apartments in St Helier, Jersey.
The project involves a like for like replacement of the existing sprinkler system, which was originally installed in steel pipework. After 15 years in service the system has suffered from corrosion and now requires full replacement.
FDS proposed the complete strip out of the existing installation and the provision of a new like for like sprinkler system installed in galvanised steel pipework, extending the operational life and long term reliability of the system.
The works will include a two week strip out period followed by a three week installation programme, delivered using FDS direct labour, with commencement scheduled for early January.
While on site, FDS engineers will also be carrying out servicing works across the 15 commercial sprinkler systems currently maintained by FDS on the island of Jersey, ensuring continuity of service and efficiency of delivery.
System details include:
- Town main Fed
- OHGII system
- 250 heads
