Project Description
The Brief
Design and install a wet sprinkler system to the tank restoration garage.
FDS were tasked with designing and building a concrete slab within the staff car park to house the tank & pump house. To dig a trench to lay the electrical supply to the pump house from the main building, a water main supply from the main building to fill the sprinkler tank and underground sprinkler main from the pump to feed the sprinkler pipework.
The challenge
Arranging to move the battle tanks to allow our access equipment to drive in that area and gain access to high-level steels to install the pipe. Working alongside tanks, tank mechanics and over the top of the tanks.
The Solution
FDS supplied a turnkey solution, including a diesel pump, sprinkler tank, grp enclosure, wet alarm valve and all associated pipe, fittings and electrical interface including a sprinkler panel in the main building.
FDS Installed the sprinkler pipework at high-level throughout the tank workshop and also fed 2 low-level areas, while the tanks were in position and being worked on.
