FDS are delighted to announce that they have been appointed to carry out the fire sprinkler package at St Edeyrn’s School in Wales.
The new £6 million primary school at the St Edeyrn’s development in the northeast of the city will be the new home for St Mellons Church in Wales Primary School, which will relocate from Llanrumney.
Set to accommodate 210 pupils, including a 48 place part-time nursery, it will serve parts of Pontprennau and Old St Mellons and will be located east of the Pontprennau link road.
FDS scope of works include
- New water supplier – consisting of single electrical drive fire pump full holding sprinkler tank
- False ceiling protection to approx. 400 heads
- Void protection to void greater than 300mm – approx 300 heads
- FDS has commenced the design and is due on-site in July 2022
The contract value is between £160-190k and we are delighted to have St Edeyrn’s on board.
